There are trails right out the door, one of which leads to the Beaverkill Valley Inn, where a tipple and a good meal await. The trails at Timber Doodle Farm connect with the Beaverkill Mountain Club’s extensive network, offering miles of hiking opportunities. But for those of us who love to fish, or even just appreciate our rivers as dynamic, spectacular living things, the 1.2 miles of pristine Beaverkill River that runs through the property is an incredibly special amenity. One photo in our slideshow is of a particularly scenic riverfront spot, deep with terraced rock ledges. Some will see an alluring swimming hole while others will know that is where the trout will be. Both would be correct.

The vast acreage also includes a pretty pond with cattails, and .9 miles of Beech Hill Brook nearby. Native brook and brown trout swim these waters as well. You’ll find a lean-to offers cover from a summer downpour and a fire pit for cooler times of year.

The cabin and Timber Doodle Farm are just ten minutes from Livingston Manor, with breweries, shops and a wonderful all-around vibe.
