Erik joined Country House Realty in June 2020 and, over the past five years, has closed more than 118 sales totaling over $63 million. He ranks at the very top of all real estate agents in Sullivan County—a reflection of both his work ethic and deep knowledge of the market.
Before relocating his license to the Catskills, Erik spent nine years as an agent in Manhattan, where he earned a reputation as an attentive, diligent, and knowledgeable advocate for his clients. As a city transplant himself, he understands firsthand what motivates buyers seeking a peaceful weekend retreat or a fresh start in the country.
I have been fortunate in my dual career. As a photographer, I have covered the White House, traveling with the President both domestically and internationally on Air Force One, and documented stories in Haiti, Iraq, Turkey, Thailand, Australia, Russia, Eastern Europe, and throughout the United States. Most recently, I documented fragile environments for the New York Times Travel Section (see Bonaire Island, the Everglades, the Grenadines, and dogsledding in Maine). I have lived abroad - Paris, England, Italy - but the Catskills always drew me back.
As a listing agent, Erik’s photographic eye and skill set are invaluable assets. He produces striking images, drone photography, and narrative videos that give his listings a distinct advantage in the marketplace. As a licensed drone pilot, he films and edits his own aerial tours, many of which have gained significant traction online. Please see a few of my recent listings to see my multi-pronged marketing approach: Riverbend, Tyler Hill Farmhouse, Tuthill Farmhouse, Laird Rd Modern, Beaverkill Riverfront, Rock Valley Artist Compound, and Shady Rock. For a few examples of how he integrates drone and video, see this and this, or have a look at my YouTube channel.
As a buyer’s agent, Erik brings deep market insight and a highly personal approach. He guides both first-time and experienced buyers to a successful outcome, helping them navigate the process. His recent buyer-side includes: Beaver Brook, Wisteria Farm, Banyan Hill, and Upper Big Sky, to name a few.
My wife and I bought our 1904 schoolhouse in Western Sullivan County 25 years ago. Since then, I have lived here full-time and part-time. I have explored the region in all seasons on foot, skis, bikes, boats, hiking, alone and with children and dogs. I enjoy sharing my knowledge of the hidden valleys and spectacular vistas with my clients.
I had the pleasure of working with Erik, and I can’t recommend him highly enough. Erik has outstanding local knowledge of Sullivan County and the surrounding area, which made me feel confident at every step of the process. He has a great eye for potential—helping me see not just what a property is today, but what it could become. The listings he shared were always on point, well-curated, and worth considering, which saved me a lot of time and energy in my search. Erik was professional, responsive, and truly invested in helping me find the right place. Thanks to his guidance, I was able to find a home that exceeded my expectations. If you’re buying or selling in Sullivan County, Erik is the agent you want in your corner!
